Local company offers free services to victims of tornado 4/16/11
Gloucester, VA, 4/16/11 — In the wake of the devastating tornado that hit Gloucester County, VA and outlying areas on 4/16/11, Mike James of CADOperators.com is offering design and drafting services free of charge. “When a natural disaster occurs, there’s going to be some property damage”, Mr. James said. The tornado that struck Gloucester in the late evening devastated Page Middle School on Rt. 17. Several homes in the county were complete losses and many suffered severe damage.
“Of course, the first thing one should do is contact their insurance company but after that, the rebuilding begins,” Mr. James is a fully licensed -------- and has been designing for over 25 years. “The first step in rebuilding is a plan. We are helping those in our community take the first steps toward that rebuilding by offering design and drafting services, something that is required by local codes compliance and can cost thousands of dollars these folks may not have or may not have access to,” Mr. James said.
Mr. James utilizes state of the art software capable of rendering two dimensional drawings into three dimensional art. He provides complete drawing sets required to begin rebuilding or new construction. He works hand in hand with each customer to ensure that their visions come to life before ground is ever broken.
If you were impacted by the 4/16/11 tornado and in need of Mr. James’ services, you may contact his company at: -------------------

We support local high schools by joining mentoring programs for students. We donate our time and use of our CAD work stations for students to have 'hands on' experience in a professional office setting and working out in the field. We work our hours around the schedule of these students that want to pursue a rewarding career. We've had the pleasure of mentoring from one to three students per semester for York and Heritage High Schools. We have purchased ad space for Warwick, Menchville, Denbigh and Grafton High Schools sport event calendars.
We have provided professional drafting services to Mount Sinai United Holy Church in Chesapeake by donating hours and travel expenses to offset their limited budget while still providing professional drawings for their expansion needs. We worked around their schedule to avoid any disruption during services while we measured the entire building and provided as-builts with existing conditions documentation.
We donate a percentage of our profits to Angel Flight, Mission Fish and Donors Choose. Many times we donate office furniture, equipment and supplies to non-profit groups. We offer our services free of charge to disaster victims for new home designs.
We also enjoy donating to other non-profit groups. For Bluebird Gap Farm in Hampton (similar to a petting zoo with FREE admission) we have donated our drafting services to provide them the drawing and artwork for their Direction Map at the entrance to the farm. We also helped pay for the physical sign.
Count on CADOperators.com, LLC to offer a helping hand when we can. We firmly believe in giving back to our community.
